French Presses – Keep Several Handy

Sample whatever coffee your customer is considering as a purchase.  “Don't know if you like Yrgacheffe?  Give me a minute and I will brew you a cup.”

Make sure you have at least three sizes of French presses available: 4 cup, 8 cup and 12 cup. There are now glass, lexan plastic (great for outdoor people, and thermal insulated presses available.

Sample, sample and sample some more. You will sell more coffee and make yourself, your friends and your family happier.

When Is It Good to Brew a Bad Cup

Don’t let the perception, "Oh there is no difference, I love my folgers" (lower case intended) go unchallenged.

Let them see the difference – show your customers lower grade / quality beans.

Let them taste the difference – brew a cup of both and watch the wide eyes of realization.

Let Them Make It

Have the customer make their own press with your supervision and they will see how easy it is to create a great cup of coffee
